The victory of the Blue Bulls over the Crusaders was very sweet indeed. But the cherry on top was the massive after party at most joints around Soweto.
I witnessed the Ngamlas walking within the precinct of the stadium, freely. The atmosphere was electric. Popular places like Sakhumzi in Orlando West and Sochillas in Diepkloof were packed to the rafters.
But ordinary people around the stadium made massive profits. One 750 bottle of beer, affectionately referred to as "iqumqum" went for a modest R50 a bottle.
With the Super 14 Final taking place at the Orlando Stadium this coming weekend, my enterpreneunal instict have kicked in. I don't need a business plan. As to what I plan to sell on Saturday, will remain a smallanyana secret, for now.
